Florida Decides : Minimum wage on the rise?
Oh fuck I hope so. I make fucking 5.40 an hour. I started at minimum wage and earned a raise, that was given to me by the owner of the pizza place I work at. If the voters of Florida vote for this, I'll be making over 30 more dollars a week, and I'll be quite a happy camper. I can only hope.
I took on a lighter schedule at work as of late, so I only work about 30 hours a week. I get paid bi-weekly. So I mean, I would get like around 60 more dollars in my paycheck, and that's a lot of money to me. Like I said, I can only hope.

Tell me you are not serious?!!! California is at $6.75...I think...bleh ($5.40) who can live on that? Get a room mate if you don't already have one. Or maybe the rats can go into business for you...that's right...you can become a mad scientist and use them for lab rats...but in a nice way of course because they are your beloved pets.
Haha! Well, California has great wages. However, that 5.40 wage is a little misleading. I'm a delivery driver. So I actually make a lot for a tipped job. In fact, I don't even have to be paid minimum wage. Let's do a little quick math. I made 44 dollars last night in tips. Subtract the 8 dollars in gas I used and I made 10.54 an hour, for a total of about 74 dollars. About half of that is tax free. So that's pretty cool. Sucks for getting credit though. Damn lucky Californians >:o
