The Judge Who Set Joseph Duncan Free
Police said that by the time her ordeal ended six weeks later, Shasta would be repeatedly molested by a convicted sex offender and become the only apparent survivor of the five people in the home.
This is fucking horrible. What a fucking piece of shit. When I fucking heard this news on the radio last night when I was in my car I got so fucking pissed that I threw my soda in a rage. I don't understand why the people who were reading his blog didn't take any hints from his psychotic banter. I don't understand why his fucking faggot nephew, who commented on my blog, didn't inform police of his possible whereabouts, or what he was up to. Everything was there. But none of the readers of his blog wanted to pick up the phone and report suspicious speech to the police officials. They wanted to give him emotional support and encouragement. They wanted to make him feel better.
If there were a real God, he would strike down those who knew of the blog and sat quietly. I'm tired of this bullshit. Why can't evil behavior just be unanimously condemned? No mentioning forgiveness. No talking about God. Why can't everyone unanimously just point their finger and say "You piece of shit." I just don't understand. I'm incapable of understanding how anyone can use the word "forgiveness" while talking about this guy.
But let me raise another point. This guy, in 1980, raped a boy at fucking gunpoint. He spent 17 years in jail, and somehow was released about that. Here's a tip to all the fucking infantile prosecutors and judges out there. If someone commits a crime that horrible at age 16, they're extremely fucked up. It's one thing to rob someone at gunpoint. That person can change. Somehow who fucking rapes a boy at gunpoint is just a ruined human being and they need to be put to death like a dog with rabies. There is no treatment, there is only control and it's much cheaper and satisfying to the public to put the motherfucker to death right then and there.
And what happened just a few months ago with Joseph Duncan? He was fucking arrested and charged for the molestation of a fucking 6 year old boy. And do you know what happened? Some fucking evil cocksucking judge let him out on $15,000 bail. That's it. $15,000, and he was out and ready to go kill 4 people, 1 dog, and completely ruin an 8 year old girl's life. This fucking judge needs to be held accountable. He needs to partially accept responsibility. He has a job, and he did not due his job. He was negligent. And because of that negligence, many people are dead.
And what will happen to the judge responsible for this? Not a goddamn thing. He will keep his seat on the bench, and keep on holding his position of power. I hope the fucking guilt eats at this guy, and I hope he is suffering. And I hope that guilt and suffer eats at his insides until he eventually realizes his best course of action should be to act as judge, jury, and executioner. That's right. He needs to fucking kill himself. If he was a real man, he would. But no, he's a heartless, cruel, evil man. It won't phase him. Because he's the one who wanted to show the convicted child rapist compassion in the first place when he was accused of doing it again. Nice job, asshole. Kill yourself. [Update:] Read the comments to see some more of my ranting, and to see a very good point a reader brings up. Let's talk "Bail amount" and comparing amounts with different charges than what Joseph Duncan was charged with before he slaughtered a family.

I say let Mr. Duncan go free...but first announce it to the world via every news outlet available. Give us at least a week's notice. He'd be taken care of and there wouldn't be a million spent on keeping him incarcerated until they execute him.
YES, hippiechic! Very very smart idea. That would be so awesome, and COST EFFICIENT. Fuck feeding this guy 3 times a day. Let's just let him out and let the public take care of him. Verrry good idea indeed. I appreciate the smart post!
That's very interesting, and come to think of it, you're very right. Felony drug charges usually carry a $50,000 bond. Let's analyze this though. Let's compare meth and oh say, child raping.
Meth: Victimless. Gives you intense energy and focusing power. Makes you lose weight by suppressing your appetite. Makes you not sleep, which may be good or bad. Basically, it turns you into a super-worker. It gives you, dare I say, Godly power. It's expensive, and it fucks up your teeth.
Child Raping: Fucks up the victim for life. Their innocence is gone, forever. Their view of the world will always be warped and twisted. They will never have a normal relationship. They will always seek older men, who will keep fucking them up more and more. If they don't seek older men, be sure they'll torture any guy they're with until they get help. And when they do get help, they will spends thousands of dollars on therapy and medication just so they can be normal. If they finally get help when they can afford it, around let's say 30, then that will be about 20 wasted years that person will never be able to get back. 20 years of suffering. If its a man raping a boy, then take all of this severity here and multiply by about 4. 4 times more fucked up. I can only imagine... Constant sexual confusion, not to mention that studies show when boys are molested, they inherently grow up to do it. Molestation breeds. This is a fact.
And in order to get out of jail and await your trial, you must pay $50,000 if you use meth.
If you raped the child, and were responsible for everything above, then its only $15,000.
Now someone tell me right now why every Congressman and woman aren't banding together to change this. And someone tell me why this judge isn't dead yet. I know why, because judges are lawyers and lawyers have no fucking soul, that's why. He didn't know he was a level 3 sex offender? He should be removed from his fucking bench then. That's his fucking job, and responsibility and with that responsibility comes the consequences of your decisions.
You are exactly right. I checked out your blog James, and you definitely have your shit together. And you pose a very, very excellent question. What do we value more? Our children or outdated puritanical beliefs. It's 2005, not the 1500's. But this is precisely why I'm so frustrated with the religious right, because they're the only ones to blame. The Republican lawmakers and the religious right that voted for them. This is why I like democrats (when it comes to lawmaking at least) more than the republicans. Because I can always could on the Republicans to ban things while the democrats want to allow things. Well, except for the guns issue. But we need more democrats in the house and senate to fix the problem you've pointed out. I can't count on my local republican congressman to help out. He needs to get reelected.
I don't think anyone has really understood you, Matt. But Suzanne White, that great lady who wrote that awesome book on The New Astrology (synthesizing the Western and the Chinese zodiacs) is close, as she has this to say about your Libra Ox: (from http://www.suzannewhite.com/newastrology/LibraOx.shtml)
~~~~~
THE LUCID SEEKER
Beauty and the Beast. This subject is a veritable storm of contradiction. Every detail must be perfect, every line straight and every flaw concealed. Weakness must be routed. Sloth eradicated. Yet, under this foil of faultlessness, Libra/Ox hides a secret. On the strict surface, Libra/Ox is efficiency and power, example and security. Underneath? An anthill of conflicting emotions. Purity charms this sterling character. He claims not to want any messes about. He protests he needs calm and cannot live in turmoil, Yet, Libra/Oxen are forever getting themselves involved in emotional scrapes. Even though they seem to be above it all, they take in strays. They seek out madness. They are magnetized by complexity...
Ain't that something?!
Thanks Shastri. I had no idea Matt was a Libra/Ox. This is a feisty person to be reckoned with. And nobody knows it better than he does. Librans born in Ox years don't breathe - they churn. He's a do-gooder with a heart of tempered steel. Glib? Yes. But the prolixity and off-the-cuffness conceal a mighty fear. This guy is aware. Is the world a lovely place? Is Life beautiful? Can the good guys win? Ask Matt.Trust me, he knows.
Haha. You two are awesome. You make me blush.
Not many people do understand me, but Suzanne White has came pretty damn close.
On The Lucid Seeker: This is fairly accurate, but not totally. I'm not a perfectionist in general. When it comes to a creation I'm working on, then yes I am. But when it comes to say the order of my room, or car, I'm not. I so sort of seek the chaos rather than calm. I love rollercoasters, and that says a lot about my personality. I'm a thrill seeker. Wether it's flying around on a rollercoaster or flying around emotionally speaking about something that I'm very passionate about, I get the thrill. Thanks for that comment shastrix, I found it very neat.
What Suzanne posted was more accurate though. I didn't know that being a Libra born in the year of the Ox was such a cool thing to be. And you are very right. I am a "feisty person to reckon with", and I do know it. And yes, I do not breathe, I churn. That is very correct. I am a "do-gooder" with a heart of steel, although I do make my fair share of mistakes. But see, I may have a "heart of steel" but I am very very sensitive to the cruel injustices in this world and the atrocities that are committed. But my "heart of steel" is not glib at all. It is always sincere and it just comes firing out of me like a bat out of hell. I am indeed very aware, because I analyze everything very carefully.
And I do know the answers to those questions. The good guys will not win until the good guys are in our elected offices. I would kill for everyone to be independent. For the legislature to be free of religious doctrine. Thank you Suzanne White for the amazing comment. I'm honored.
Well I have to admit I usually vote Republican and consider myself "right wing" but you also have to have common sense. Because I hold a certain value doesn't give me the right to force that value upon others or belittle them for their beliefs. I think we need a fundamental change in the US political system, namely a third party like the libertarians. People who want to get the government out of moralizing and banning things and let them build roads and protect the country as was originally meant to be. I strongly believe in the constitution and America as it was set up by the founding fathers whom I greatly respect. I see it less as a Republican problem than as a diversionary problem. The Dem's had the house for a while and held the Presidency for 8 years and never did anything to try to weaken drug laws. In fact they were ratcheted up with mandatory sentencing and seizure laws. It is a big Government problem that puts its tentacles into everything and regulates everything and neither party is willingly going to shrink it. something has to change and it is up to us to force that change.
What an awesome comment. James, you're very much like me. I disagree with you on absolutely nothing. And I am very glad to see someone who agrees with me. The best party to ruin this nation is the Libertarian party. Their selling point? "We're pro-choice on everything!" That's why I love Libertarians so much, and that's the party that I most closely relate to.
I didn't pay attention to anything during the Clinton years, because I was pretty young so I can't agree or disagree. I'm ignorant to those 8 years. All I know is the economy was booming from the internet blowing up and he got caught getting his dick sucked by a government clerk.
However, I think at this point its obvious that both parties will fail. It's not even about running the country anymore. It's only about doing what's going to get you reelected. Just like you, even though they were a bit hypocritical, I have a massive amount of respect for our founding fathers. I am beyond grateful to them for being about to sit here at my computer and say whatever I'm thinking. That is my most precious freedom, and I have no one else to thank but them and the men who fought to get the fuck away from the british.
Again, thank you for yet another extremely intelligent comment. Very nice blog too James. Love the header.
Thank you for the comment. I'm very sorry about what happened to your extended family member. I'm very glad you posted so people can see first hand how people are affected by a crime like this. And I think it's good people see how people affected by others' abuse feel about the abusers.
I can't believe he only got 6 months... That's fucking terrible. This sick fuck will do it again, and again, and again. He might do it 20 more times before he's caught again. This is unbelievable. Something needs to be done where you're at. I'm very thankful that we now have the Jessica Lunsford act in Florida.
And you are absolutely right. Their punishment should be death. This would deter future molestations by anyone having some sick fucking thoughts.
Thank you for the comment.
Howdy Matt! I found your page actually off of the fifth nail blog comments. I'm a very firm-believing Christian, but open-minded. I very much agree with your views one things (other than that whole God thing!). I also really like James's blog. Like him, I typically vote Republican, but I think the whole system is screwy. We need to rid our country of the two-party system. It's ridiculous. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your views! I'm saving your blog as a favorite to continue to read.
Well hey there Lauren. I'm glad you've found the blog and I'm glad you're reading! Let me tell you personally that although I am anti-religion, I do respect peoples' choices to worship whoever or whatever, just as long as they don't impose their beliefs on me. As long as it's kept personal, I SUPPORT IT because this world is very hard to live in, and we as individuals need as much help as we can get. And I'd much rather have people worshipping a God if it helps them rather than snorting cocaine every night. I just wanna be clear on that because I don't mention that a lot of the time when I'm worked up about things.
And James' blog is also very awesome. I totally agree with you on that one. He's a good writer for sure. The whole system is screwy, and we DO need a third party. There is no such thing as a real independent party. So that's out of the question. The best addition to the popular system would be the Libertarian Party. I love libertarians, I agree with them on almost everything and I can count on them to never ban anything I like to do, and to always protect our foundation.
I'm glad you appreciate my views. That's a very nice thing to know that although people may disagree with a lot of what I say, like my over the top anti-religious rhetoric, you still appreciate my point of view. Lauren is the exact type of person who I'm NOT, NOT NOT NOT NOT talking about when I start ranting about Christians. Thank you for not hating me and calling me a spawn of Satan and wishing for my death because of my views. I'm very grateful to have you reading here.
Yeah many of my so-called "brothers and sisters in Christ" are posers. The god we claim to worship would not appreciate the comments calling you a spawn of Satan and such. These are also people who probably grew up with church rammed down their throats and don't understand it at all but still hate on people in the name of Jesus. They shame my faith. I love talking to people with different views who make me think about WHY I believe what I believe. It seems that others would much rather blindly accept it. I could go on about this all day. It infuriates me. But I'll spare you. :)
Haha. Like I said Lauren, I have no problem with NORMAL people who believe in God. My brother and my Mom both believe in God. And they're family. We often have discussions, and I also go on religious tirades with my Mom. It's fun conversation. I just start insulting and take it to the hardcore level when they're insulting me or treating me like a lost soul who's doomed to hell.
A very nice woman emailed me from Canada, and told me that a Christian is just this: One who believes in Christ and believes in his teachings. I like simple Christians. It's the hardcore baptists and catholics who are more often than not, out of their mind.
And I can understand the way you feel about your fellow Christians being hypocrites. You are obviously an individual unlike many religious people. Thank you for having such an open mind and for not hating me! I greatly admire your maturity.
James does have a great blog. And a hot wife to boot....
Wow, Hoots. Thank you very much for your comment. I'll be saving this in my "best commends ever" file. I really appreciate your words, especially being a pastor for 15 years. And you, sir, are the exact example of what in my opinion is a real Christian, and the type that I have absolutely no problem with whatsoever. Look at your words... This is how a person who believes in the bible speaks. There's no hypocrisy from you.
I also find it very awesome that we share the same opinions. See everybody? People with two completely different religious beliefs can be in total agreement on everything else. This is what I love to see. I'm very proud to have your comment sitting in my blog. Thank you very much.
If this is too personal, I'll understand but I'm curious as to why you're not a pastor anymore? I don't want to know just so I can use it as an example or to push my opinions or anything like that. I'm just genuinely curious as to how a pastor of 15 years decides to do something different.
Im gonna try this one more time, hell each time I start I ramble like some fuktard. I think you are right in the respect that punishment should me adminstered to those who deserve it, obviously. I agree with your insight on the government having a little too much power with not enough results. I agree with some Christians, and other religions being too political in their morality, ( I think that is what you mean) I dont think that a judge who probably was rushed and misinformed should be held accountable for the sick actions of Jo-Jo (I dont want to spell his real name he does not deserve that)
I think the people who tried to help him or give him a break did not know his real problems, and I would not hold them accountable for their actions of love and kindness, they did not hurt us, you fail to realize that there are people without feelings, empty souls who come into this world, a lot of people think everyone is capable of being saved, but I am 50 years old and I sadly know that is not true. They come into this world with a darkness all thier own, you kids who listen to darkside music and hell bound shit living in the misgivings your powerful and evil, most of you are not and outgrow your insecurity, you desire to rule this complicated world, usually you get right by the responsibilities of your life, but a few who really are dark and born without concious do exist, and they are the ones we cant seem to weed out. Im rambling and Im sorry for that, I do hope that the higher power of your choice will be kind to you, and that your eyes will be open to compassion for your fellow man. You tend to get a little mad at we the people for individuals actions... that makes you as bad as the sick fuckers who feed into their own importance. Remember grasshopper you are important but the world does not revolve around your desires, wants and needs... Meth is harmful and if you ever worked the emergency room in a big city on friday night you would agree. Even little hick towns have their drug crimes, drugs will give you strength to do things you normally would not do, and crack really makes people crazy as hell.
I cant quote statictics only that I have had 4 people killed in my neighborhood and the ones doing the killing were high on crack, or meth, 3 meth labs busted up, the explosion from one burned down two houses.. thats all I know about it, I dont do it and have no desire to try any of it. Well I have put my 2 cents in and jumped on the bandwagon... I like your Bolg and if the police are reading this you reall need to go punch in that movement Jo-JO was talking about the underground thing...that sounds like a skank molesters paradise, anyone who has the demon in them that JO talked about, I want you to do this fast and quick, pick it up, put the bullets in, thats right, in your mouth with the barrel of the gun, think happy thoughts as you pull the trigger.
Hey anyone know what this stuff is that was posted on Joe Duncans comments from the web site I cant read latin or whatever it is... but there is a lot of it on that website..
You may ask why does it matter and maybe it doesnt but I am curious or nosey , just like most of you
pellentesque in, ante. In vitae enim. Suspendisse eget mi. Aenean et pede vitae tortor sagittis cursus. Maecenas sit amet massa. Maecenas wisi dolor, vulputate eu, ultrices a, accumsan ut, enim. Pellentesque gravida malesuada est. Vivamus quis turpis tempor nunc rutrum laoreet. Duis augue. Curabitur felis wisi, dapibus sed, tempor nec, lobortis
Please disregard the previous, I thught it was familiar so I found the words, they are on Microsoft Works as the fill in data or wording for your brochures, evidentally someone is using it to block comments on the jo duncan blog.. Okay I will take my nosey self off line now.. thanks anyway peoples.
Thanks for the comment Child Protector. I appreciate the insight of older people. However, I think you misunderstood me. I wasn't defending drug use, only comparing the severity of that and child molestation. Drug charges are seen as more serious in our court system than child molestation, and that is a serious problem.
And I still believe the judge should be held accountable. He failed to do his job. He failed to protect the community.
Wow. A very interesting story. Thanks a lot for sharing it. I know how easy it is to become addicted to the way something makes you feel. While I've never tried any drugs or alcohol, I'm addicted to caffeine and nicotine. I know, they're powderpuff drugs but I'm just trying to say that I know what it's like. Although I've never even been drunk, so I have no idea what that's like.
In the end, it sort of seems like everything happens for a reason. You went through your own personal hell, and in the end you gathered the courage to get treatment. I definitely applaud you for that. That takes a lot of guts.
And you're right, self righteous people need to be perfect. Being perfect is such a burden, is it not? I used to be such a perfectionist with certain things, and I know how the pressure can eat at you. I'm really glad everything worked out for you man and thanks a lot for sharing your story.
I only wish that the people at your former place of employment would not judge you, because I'll bet they have skeletons in their closet too.
