Myers Retires

To say that yesterday's news of Judge Alvin allowing the release of the unreleased Abu Ghraib pictures had nothing to do with General Richard Myer retiring today would be an absolutely ignorant statement.

I saw the headline "Myers Steps Down from Top Military Post" and my very first emotion was sympathy. Honestly, that was my very first reaction. General Myers was the fucking Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. When it comes to our military, there are two people higher than him. Donald Rumsfeld followed by George Bush at the top, of course. But below those two is this guy.

He has publicly came out many times before commenting on this very same court case. I wrote about this very court case a little over a month ago. That post is here. In that post, I made a very strong case which supports everything I say here. I also include a few good quotes from General Myers, who was forced to retire today because the judicial branch of the United States is fighting against his Military branch. He was put into a position where he could no longer put his reputation and responsibility on the line. When the Judicial branch is aiding the enemy, the best thing to do is to admit defeat. You just can't win. Now this will be on someone else's hands, and I don't blame General Myers one bit. For the record though, let's go back and look at his quotes.

"But in an affidavit filed with the court on July 21 and unsealed this past week, Myers insists the release 'would aid the recruitment effort and other activities of insurgent elements.'

He further states that should the pictures become public, they will 'endanger the lives and physical safety of the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines in the United States Armed Forces presently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.'"

And this is exactly what is going to happen. Just remember what happened when news made the rounds of the United States flushing a Quran down the toilet during interrogations. It caused fucking riots. I can only imagine what's in these pictures and videos, but I'll bet it's a lot worse than that. I think we saw fucking Nick JR quality humiliation pictures in the first place. Wait until these pictures make the news, if they aren't too graphic that is.

It's just so disappointing that this guy has to retire because Judge Alvin wants to see America be destroyed. That's the only conclusion I can come to. Anyone who would make this decision with such ignorance can want nothing else. And now a man was basically forced into retirement from his dream job. Absolutely fucking terrible.

A Little More Treason

U.S. District Judge Alvin K Hellerstein has decided today that the terrorists killing our boys in Iraq and Afghanistan already have already proven they don't need pretexts for their barbarism. Thus allowing what I believe was 87 pictures and 4 videos to be released. This Judge is not only incompetent, but is absolutely an enemy of the United States. I guarantee if he had the slightest idea as to why the average Muslim hates America, he wouldn't have made this fucking horrible decision.

I think I should explain. You see, Muslims feel like we're their overlords. They feel like we're trying to conquer them. They feel like we're using our superpower status to eradicate their religion. So knowing this fact, what do you suppose showing 87 more horrible pictures and 4 videos will cause? It will be nothing more than a certification of their beliefs, a reaffirmation, and a permission slip to kill more innocents. These people don't forget.

I will wager my left testicle that Judge Alvin's actions will be directly responsible for the death of at least one solder in Iraq or Afghanistan. I would bet anything that at least one insurgent or one terrorist will launch an attack based completely on the content of the soon to be released pictures. If I know this, then he must. Therefor I come to the conclusion that Judge Alvin is an enemy of the United States, and he should be tried for treason right along with Anthony Romero.

I've already clearly pointed out my very well made arguements as to why Anthony Romero is clearly and legally guilty of treason. Of course though, nothing will ever be done because that would seem awfully communist like. Communist like, dictator like or not, Anthony Romero is a treasonous American who needs to be stopped. I'm not claiming he's a stupid insane liberal. I'm not claiming he's a socialist. I'm saying flat out that above politics, this man hates the United States of America.

If you didn't know, he's the general of the army that battles America within through the flawed legal system. He's the Executive Director of the ACLU. Like I said, the general of the internal army against the United States. Let's take a look at what he had to say on the subject.

"While no one wants to see what's on the photos or videos, they will play an essential role in holding our government leaders accountable for the torture that's happened on their watch."

Which happened on their watch? What does that even mean? What government leaders? Why is this faggot so vague? Because this is nothing more than a fake argument. It's a random false justification for actions that are absolutely treasonous. It's the vagueness that will sell his actions. He's completely full of shit.

He claims that no one wants to see what's on the photos or videos. I certainly call bullshit on that line. I think most people want to see what's on the videos. Even I would love to see what's on the videos and I would take great pleasure in seeing people who were trying to kill our men in Iraq being humiliated in the worst possible ways. I'd even like to see them being tortured. I'd fucking love it, because that's what they deserve. You know, the liberalism has to stop somewhere, and I believe that sort of thinking should come nowhere near War.

And for others, it's just like driving past a car crash. Do you look? Of course you look. Rubber necking is a serious issue on major intestates because of this simple human instinct - we love car crashes. Especially when they involve the enemy of the United States. But that's not the given reason for releasing these documents. That's not even the real reason. It's nothing more than an attempt to bring down and damage America. It would make no difference if it was Kerry or Bush in office right now. The ACLU hates America, period. They only happen to have a liberal agenda.

So I would just like to formally congratulate the ACLU on their victory. When these photos are released, the hornet's nest will go apeshit and their cause will be reaffirmed. Every time you see American's being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, you can put a little bit of blame on Judge Alvin and Anthony Romero and his band of legal soldiers.

Random Babbling (5)

"Sometimes you dig yourself into a hole so deep when blogging, the only way to get out of it is to just start typing." A great Tibetan monk once told me that. It's true.

Honestly, I just haven't had the drive lately. A number of things are contributing to this. I've been working more hours at work, I got sick again, and I'm absolutely addicted to Lost. I am a Lost junkie, and I need help. So, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I'm just going to dig into the news now.

Tom Delay is toast. Fucking corrupt motherfucker. I knew it all along, even when the allegations first came around months ago. You can just see the corruption and evil in his eyes. Nine times out of ten, you can look at someone and tell if they're good or bad. At least I can anyway, and I could always tell that this motherfucker was much more corrupt than the average politician. Good news for the democrats. I think they deserve a little good news at this point. It's been a while since they've had something legitimate to point at and to condemn.

Cindy Sheehan was arrested during her pitiful protest in Washington a couple days ago. Phil Donohue was on The Factor claiming 100,000 people would be there. What a fucking idiot. I've seen more people at weddings. These people are such douche bags. The report I originally read, which I can't find, claimed that Sheehan walked away in handcuffs smiling. Of course she was smiling, because at the end of the say all she wants is to be famous. She knew getting arrested was a great way to get attention, and she knew she probably committed the bare minimum of law breaking to be cuffed. Way to go douche bag, you prove once more how insane you are.

Did anyone see her call for the withdrawal of "Occupied New Orleans" a couple weeks ago? How about that one, eh? This one is a fucking insane cunt and I honestly hope for her death. When she dies, I'll be partying like it's my birthday.

Which is today I might add. I'm going to Outback with the family. Should be fun stuff. In the mean time, I'm going to watch Lost and work on a new bad ass feature that will be coming to this site. Podcasting. I've been practicing for the past week, and my shit still sucks but it's certainly getting better. TheSick.Net in audio form. It will certainly be neat and funny. Expect the first sometime soon.

Equality

I'd like to talk about equality, because this subject has been a very much talked about point involving this whole Katrina debacle. I've seen a lot of mindless banter involving the race card and various polls shows huge discrepancies involving the treatment of refugees, also known as displaced citizens in the wake of Katrina. So it seems I need to come to the rescue and explain equality.

In America, all men and women are born equal in every sense. If Matt White and Joe Black are born on the very same day, they both have the exact same chance in life. We are all guaranteed an education, and with that education we can either move on and do something with it or sit down and play in the sand.

It's all about choices. Matt White and Joe Black have the same exact chance of becoming rich and successful, just by birth. If they want it, they can have it. What either gets them rich and successful or poor and miserable is their own choices. We control our own lives and our own destiny. If Matt White decides to goto college and be a Doctor, then that's his choice and his decision alone. If Joe Black decides to work at Footlocker after he gets out of high school to support his girlfriend who just had a baby, then that's his choice and his decision.

Matt White is on the path to becoming rich and successful and Joe Black is going to inevitably live a hard life paycheck to paycheck. Five years from this point, these two men will certainly not be equal as they were on the day of their birth, and probably all the way up until 5th grade.

Wether you're black, white, or brown, it makes no difference. George Bush is white, Condoleezza Rice is black, and Alberto Gonzalez is brown. They became rich and successful not because of the color of their skin, but only because of their own choices. In some cultures, particularly the black culture, it becomes exceedingly difficult to make good decisions simply because of the very nature of that culture. It's hard to decide to not take addicting drugs and waste your money on $5000 spinning chrome rims when your cult hero rap about how taking those drugs and having those rims is a cool thing. If these cult heroes were rapping about going to college, you might see a lot less poor black folk.

In the end, it's all about choices and decisions. We all have the same educational opportunity in this country and it's up to us as individuals to either stay or go. If you're poor and black and happen to live in a city with a grave flood threat, and decide to stick around and see how this category 4 hurricane is going to effect you, and you die in your attic as a result, then I would say you certainly made a terrible choice.

So for the 75% of black people who think that the people of New Orleans were treated based on their race, shut your fucking mouth. This is the same 75% I spoke of earlier who idealize their rap heroes. If this 75% lived in New Orleans, they would probably be there too. Black culture has a very strong way of holding back its own people. That's the truth of the matter, really. There's nothing racist about it. You people are fucking stupid because you listen to stupid fucking music that brainwashes you into becoming morons. The 75%, of course. This isn't to say that all people who listen to rap are morons. However, anyone who believes that the people of New Orleans would have been treated differently if they were white are simple products of their very own culture. Pity me, I have a different skin color than you. Pity us, we're black. Well I say fuck that, because you had the same chance as me.

How can they be so dim as to believe such a thing? How can 75% of blacks think this while 75% of whites believe the exact opposite? Something is seriously fucked up here. That's a pretty big number, and I think someone needs to explain why there is such a huge discrepancy. Luckily, I'm here to do that job.

It's a plethora. There are so many factors. This 75% feels like they're entitled, they're ignorant, and I blame their stupid rap culture in influencing them to the point that their intellectual development becomes stunted. There's some other factor that I'm missing. For some reason, they really believe everyone hates them. It's like this self-pity mental illness they have. They're just raised to believe they're being held down and that whites don't want them to succeed. This is all part of a very broad mindset that this 75% has.

If this isn't enough, I'll throw some logic into the mix to convince the 75% of blacks and 25% of whites that the color of these peoples' skin had nothing to do with the slow response time. Suppose you're Mike Brown, and you're in charge of Emergency Management. You are in a nominated position, not an elected one. You have a boss just like regular people. You have to do a good job or you'll get fired. Suppose that Mike Brown did in fact say "You know what, these people are black. Let's take our time." What good would that do him? How would he benefit? Would he sacrifice the chance and opportunity to be recognized as a hero and give up all the praise that would come his way just so he could do an easier job by taking his time with the black refugees?

I think not. He wanted to do very well. He didn't, and those reasons will appear after various Senate committees are done doing their job. George Bush wanted everything to work right. He's a politician and his poll numbers are at rock bottom. His legacy depended on good results. Unfortunately, this fucking ignorant 75% of blacks and 25% of whites just don't think for themselves, and I think that's what it comes down to. I think that missing factor is the lack of individuality. It's that simple really in the fact that they just don't use their own minds. They only echo the words of those they believe are smarter than them. I used to do that, when I was 14.

So keep this in mind: Rap holds back the black culture in the same way religion holds back humanity and civilization as a whole. (No flying cars) Matt White and Joe Black are born with an equal chance and opportunity to grow up and be whatever they want and do whatever they want, within reason. It all comes down to the choices we make. If you're not a minor and you're poor, it's your own fault. When you're over 18, there is nothing to stop you from getting a job, going to college, and earning your own way and becoming successful. The fucking minorities even have affirmative action working for them. So I don't want to hear any bitching. There's no such thing as "less fortunate." There is only good and poor decision making. Poor choices will result in a poor lifestyle. Teach that in high school, motherfuckers. I'll be awaiting my honorary PhD.

Random Babbling (4)

I've been a little busy lately and there hasn't been much to talk about, really. This fucking Katrina thing sucks. It really does. See, everyone is so fixated on this situation in the south that they don't care about anything else that's going on. Not that I blame them, but it sucks for me because no one is interesting in extremely important subjects like Bush pulling a fast one and nominating a very young man with no real record as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. No one's talking about how disturbing this action is, and I'm not writing about it because I don't think anyone will care.

This situation in New Orleans just has complete control of the nation's attention. I stopped caring about a week ago, honestly. They can give these people $2000 that they didn't earn all day long. They can "relieve" lying fraud fucked FEMA directors all day long. Michael Chertoff can be a dick to the media all day long. General Honore can talk like a drug addict on high on coke all day long. Fox News can play the brand new "everything is getting better" music all day long. I can see dead bodies on TV all day long. I can see the carnage and destruction of the south all day long. I can hear about Kenye West calling George Bush a racist all day long, as well as hear Chris Rock accuse George Bush of not caring about midgets all day long.

But in the end, I still don't give a shit. It's done and over with and all of the excitement is gone. I'll read the headlines, but the articles are just too painfully boring and uninteresting to read. Enough already. We know, the south is fucked. Let's move on to the big story now, which is a man with no judicial record, who is extremely young, being given a life term to the most powerful position in the United States, in my opinion. If you really think about it, it's true. Presidents, if they're lucky, get 8 years in power. Rehnquist had 33 years of absolute power over the courts. How long do you think Roberts, if confirmed, will serve?

The fact of the matter is, this is disgusting. I fully support Roberts' nomination as a Supreme Court justice. I definitely do not support his nomination as Chief Justice. He has no record for christ's sake. A position as important as this, a man needs an extensive record to judge. Bush is very lucky to have this disaster on his hands, as he can sneak Roberts right in there. He even still wants him confirmed by October 1st. Eat a dick, Bush. I hope those fucking Democrat snakes in the Judicial Committee devour him. Him and his fucking hyperactive son.

I thought I said I wasn't going to write about it. Oh well. Here's a little update for ya. I'm working on this new concept. It's sort of like theonion.com but better. Without the ads everywhere and not so politically based. It's basically going to be an outlet for creativity whereas this site is a way for me to look at reality with a magnifying glass. On my new site, I will use my clever imagination to think up hilarious news stories and to also make fun of current news stories. It'll be good, trust me.

So I've been working on that as well as working a lot lately. Time to shoot off to work. Enjoy yourself, bitches. It's a celebration.

Leaked Memos

A Consumer Watchdog group has released leaked memos from Mobil, Chevron, and Texaco. These memos expose a dirty little tactic that these gas companies have been using to make use profits. Let me make an analogy first.

Let's pretend that I am the owner of an apple farm. I have 10 acres full of apples, and I am the only apple dealer in town. Everyone buys their apples from me. So, I sell these apples for 50 cents each. I make quite a lot of money off of these apples because I have 10 acres full of them. Now one day I get a good idea. I decide to tell everyone that I now only have 5 acres of apples, so I have to raise my prices to $1 per apple. I'm making the same amount of money, they're paying more, and I still have my extra 5 acres, I'm just pretending they're not there.

This is what these companies are doing. They are purposely getting refineries shut down and intentionally limiting the capacity of their refineries in order to artificially inflate prices. Like I've been saying all along, they are creating the fucking demand. The fucking oil companies, along with the greedy capitalist pigs who fully support this sort of behavior constantly give the same excuse. They blame taxes and they blame environmental regulations. Too bad they're wrong. If a company that makes billions of dollars a quarter want a fucking refinery, they will get a fucking refinery. Hello, logic.

The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights released memos from the big 3 oil and gas companies that clearly indicate an effort by the American Petroleum Institute to influence major refiners to close some of their refiners to the oil industry as a whole can make larger profits. It's team work! Take a look at this quote.

"Large oil companies have for a decade artificially shorted the gasoline market to drive up prices," said Jamie Court, president of the FTCR, who successfully fought to keep Shell Oil from needlessly closing its Bakersfield, Calif., refinery this year. "Oil companies know they can make more money by making less gasoline. Katrina should be a wakeup call to America that the refiners profit widely when they keep the system running on empty."

Looks like Shell is in on the action also. Why would Shell possibly want to close one of their own refineries? Gas prices have been soaring this year. The most common given reason is supply and demand. So if there is such an absolutely massive demand issue, then why would Shell possibly want to close one of their refineries? Wouldn't that create more demand? Of course it would create more demand, and of course it would create more profit.

But that's ok, right? It's ok for these guys to do this sort of thing because this is America and we have a free market and capitalism and greed rules supreme. Well I call bullshit. To do this with apples or computers would be perfectly fine. To do this sort of thing with gasoline is absolutely wrong, and profit caps need to be introduced. Fuck the shareholders. Americans are getting absolutely raped at the pump while ExxonMobil is making 110 million dollars a day. That's net fucking profit, folks. Who in their right mind, without greed and dollar signs in place of their pupils, can actually justify $110 million profit a day when Americans are suffering because of these gas prices? No one can, and something needs to be done fast to stop this sort of behavior. Even if they don't cap profits, at least force them to maximize their refineries and prevent them from intentionally inflating demand.

Let's take a look at these memos. I'll have to get out my Sick Translation book, because these executive assholes have a funny way of saying things in a real tricky way. (Article here)

A senior analyst at the recent API convention warned that if the U.S. petroleum industry doesn't reduce its refining capaity, it will never see any substantial increase in refining margins.

Translation: Some guy who is smarter than me gave me a really good idea. He told me that if we can make our inventory really low, we can create more demand, and create a higher price. We sell gas for christ's sake. We can charge $10 a gallon and people would buy it because they need it. Let's get rich, bitches. Whaddya say?

It's beyond clear from reading these memos: Something needs to be done. We can't be ripped off like this when it comes to one of the most essential needs in life. This is fucking gas, and it's the blood of the American economy. I'm so sick of greedy rich people calling free market and playing the capitalism card. If you were dying, and the biotech company that made the cure for your medicine raised the price so you could barely afford it, I wonder if you'd still be claiming free market.

The fact of the matter is, these companies can do this. They can charge $10 a gallon and we would have no choice but to pay it. They just keep pushing the envelope. The last thing they want is legislature governing their prices and profits or huge tax increases on their profits. Like the American public, the just slowly but surely push the envelope and people seem to only get pissed when it goes up $.80 overnight. It's like watching a kitten grow. Every few days, you sort of notice it grew and you say "Wow, he's getting big." If the kitten grew to the size of a 2 year old cat overnight, I bet you'd shit yourself. That's what we have here. We have a lack of people shitting themselves.

Only one thing is going to stop these oil companies like ExxonMobil from making 110 million dollars a day. Only one thing is going to stop them from making $8 billion this quarter. That's a 3 month span, and it's fucking obscene. The government needs to step in and handle this. There is no constitutional right to a free market. There is no constitutional right to absolutely rip off every single person who needs gas, which is pretty much everyone. It needs to be stopped, and it needs to be stopped fast. It's just completely out of hand now, and they have taken off the gloves. They are now 100% confident that we will pay these prices. All we can do is fax or email or local government, and that is probably futile.

In the end, we're at the mercy of people who have no souls, and are driven by only greed.

Bob Denver

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

This is an actual recording of me when I heard this news.

Just kidding, that's Lord Vader after Emperor Palpatine told him he killed Padme.

Bob Denver has died today after a long fight with cancer. He also recently had quadruple bypass surgery. This is horrible and I'm genuinely depressed. Slowly but surely, my childhood is dying.

Rehnquist Bites The Dust

You know, it sort of it disgusts me that I'm seeing all of these false condolences coming from every fucking politician who gets a chance to chime in. None of them really care that he's dead. No one is really saddened by this death. When someone you care for dies, you generally feel depressed and say a whole lot more than 5 seconds worth of rhetoric. But that's ok. Everyone already knows every politician in existence is a liar. All you have to do is ask yourself what type of person would seek a career in politics.

I personally, greatly admire this man for one main reason. He died while still on the bench. I mean, really think about that. He was given a life term in the 70's, and he served as chief justice for 19 years, and he was still serving until the day he died. He didn't retire like these other pussies. He made a life long commitment, and that is something that deserves the utmost respect.

However, he made a few decisions that I happen to find disturbing. First of all, he dissented in Roe v Wade. I didn't even know that until I was just discovered while researching his decisions to write this very piece. I just always assumed that the Chief Justice would certainly agree that women have the right to do whatever they want to their body. Wether it's shoving a branding iron up her ass, or choosing to abort the fetus in her body. Government should have absolutely no say when it comes to abortion. If anyone should have a say, it's the partner. Why should a women be able to abort a pregnancy that was created by her and her partner? Why should a women be able to force her partner to have a child, when maybe he isn't quite ready? If anyone should have a right to stick their nose into a women's maternal business, it should be the co-creator. I'm not necessarily saying the father should have an equal say, but I do believe that in extreme circumstances, the father should have a say in the matter wether the mother wants to have an abortion or wants to continue the pregnancy.

In 1981, he upheld a law made by congress that prevented women from registering to be drafted into the military. Apparently, he doesn't have a good understanding of that pesky little amendment that gives the right to form militias, and does not specify gender. Congress made some boneheaded law that prevented women from registering because they weren't allowed to fight anyway. It's shit and it was nothing but a law to keep women out of the military. These fucking men were pigs in the 80's, and many of them are still in their position today. I really can't wait for my generation to be elected. Slowly but surely, these conservative assholes are dying off. I truly believe that conservatism does nothing but impede the progression of civilization. Like Walt Disney, I am a person who has one foot in the past and one foot in the future. This is the way it should be. I'm really just pissed that we don't have flying cars yet. That's what this all boils down to, really.

In 1989, Rehn dissented, but the Supreme Court did indeed strike down laws in Texas that banned flag burning. His interpretation of the Constitution on this case disturbs me. In a case like this, I know he knew this was unconstitutional, but he let his conservative values get in the way. He claimed that for more than 200 years the American flag has been the symbol of our nation, and because it occupies this "unique position," governmental prohibition should be in place to prevent people from burning the flag. He says the flag isn't simply another idea or point of view competing for recognition in the marketplace of ideas, but millions of Americans recognize that unique position it holds in our country.

I agree that the flag is our most sacred symbol. However, I do believe that burning a flag is a form of speech, and it is therefor protected by the first amendment. Now, I wouldn't say every action if a form of speech. The Constitution says nothing about freedom of expression, but only freedom of speech. The only thing to determine here is if a particular action is common enough, bold enough, and strong enough to be considered as a statement. People all over the entire world burn particular flags to make political statements. I firmly believe flag burning is a form of speech. If you asked me if burning something obscure like a copy of the declaration of independence was freedom of speech, I would say no. That document also holds a "unique position," and it can also be used to express your beliefs. The very fact that the American flag is exactly as Rehn describes it, as the most important symbol we have is exactly what makes it a burnable item to be considered speech.

Oh, and by the way. I personally believe that anyone who's pissed off enough to burn an American flag should put that effort into leaving the country. I mean, if you really hate America enough to burn the flag, why stay here? If I'm unhappy at a restaurant, I will leave. I just believe people who burn flags are more than likely insane, and just don't think rationally. Regardless, they're shitheads and I would physically attack anyone I saw burning a flag. But despite all of that, they still have the constitutional right to burn a flag, because it's so bold that it's not just an expression, but is absolutely considered speech.

In 1990 Rehnquist decided that dying patients being kept alive by artificial means did indeed have a right to die, but only if they had made this request known while in a fully competent state. Very good decision Rehn. People absolutely do have the right to die rather than be kept alive by machines. They have the right to make this choice, as long as they're not depressed and suicidal when making this choice. Not much else to say on this one.

In 1991, the Supreme court reheard a previous decision that barred victim's testimonies to be taken into account during the sentencing phase, as well as evidence of the victim's character. In 1989, they decided that somehow, that had something to do with the eighth amendment. It's really funny to me, because these lawyers and judges alike absolutely twist and mangle the words "cruel or unusual," but what they forget is that in the time that this Constitution was written, people were regularly executed by hangings. Even Abe Lincoln's killer was hung. Regardless, somehow in 1989 they decided that this was cruel and unusual. In 1991, it was overturned. Very good decision I must say. The only swaying this does is to give killers and rapists stiffer penalties, and I'm all for it. I don't plan on raping or killing, so I don't mind these people getting as much time as possible. And I certainly agree with every word of Rehn's opinion on this particular case.

He made another good decision in 1995. Congress passed a law that banned guns within 1000 feet of a school. First of all, why the fuck would they waste their time with that? What the fuck is that going to help? As if it's any easier for someone who lives 1000 feet from a school to bring a gun in and kill people, opposed to someone living 2000 feet away? Give me a fucking break. I can't believe these assholes get paid. Anyway...

Of course, Rehn, along with the supreme court of course, struck this law down because it is blatantly and obvious even to the most naive reader of the Constitution that is violates the second amendment. The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Well, this law did exactly that. I mean, there isn't even any fancy workaround for this one. Blatantly unconstitutional. It seems Rehn got much better in his old age. It seems that once he reached his 70's, his partisan bullshit sort of faded away.

Here's a good one for the liberals. He decided in favor of Bush v Gore in 2000. He basically said you can't count ballots that people fucked up on. You can't even try. Plus, in accordance with Florida law, you can't even dispute this anymore. Those fucking Democrats brought it all the way to the supreme court. A simple law student could have decided this one, but they absolutely had to try everything. Although, I will admit that something is definitely fucked up in our system when the person who gets more votes doesn't become the president. I mean, that's an undisputed fact. Gore won the popular vote, but Bush still became the president because that's our system. I don't think they saw this as a possibility when they thought up that pointless electoral college system.

Why must politicians always over complicate things? It shouldn't be about winning states. There's too much room for error when you delegate a certain number of electoral votes for each state. There's just no reason to over complicate. It seems to be that all the electoral college does it make it easier and more simple for the candidates to campaign. I bet that's really why they made it. "You know, this is a pain in the ass. Can't it just be a contest as to who wins the most states so we can goto each state and try to win them over one at a time?" I bet that's how the conversation went. Regardless, most people will admit that when you take partisanship out of it, when the guy who loses the popular vote becomes president, something is fucked up.

Now we come to 2004, where he heard that stupid fuck Michael Newdow's case. What a piece of shit that man is. Pushing his atheist beliefs (I'm an atheist, or as I like to call it "normal") in the name of his daughter. This guy makes me fucking sick. Anyways, Rehn dissented along with the rest of the court, but his reasons were not good ones and were, in my opinion, wrong. Elk Grove Unified School District had a policy that required teachers to lead students in reciting the pledge. Of course, the big problem with that is that little "under God" part, as Rehn refers to it. But the problem isn't "under god." The problem is "One nation under God" thats a problem. And these fucking Judges never get that. If the pledge went "One nation, indivisible, under god" then I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it as I do.

Regardless, Rehn ruled against Newdown because the pledge, as a historical matter, sums up the attitude of the nation's leaders, and because it's part of some of our public observances. Christmas I guess. The fact of the matter is that his reasons are beyond asinine. I don't know why he felt the need to add in anything more than he did, but for some reason he felt compelled to through a little personal belief in there. Regardless, there is no law establishing a religion in this case. I spoke of a law a month or so ago that required teachers to lead the pledge. This is an absolute violation of the first amendment because a law is involved, and this is the language the Constitution uses. I'll expect to see that case before the Supreme Court soon enough. Good ruling on this one, Rehn. I just wish the elaboration he made wasn't so stupid.

Now for one of his last ruling in 2005. His ruling upheld a 6-foot Ten Commandments monument. Again, there is absolutely no law here establishing a religion. They are establishing a religion, but theyre is no law. The legislature could in effect create a law that bans any religious doctrine from state property. Constitutionally, there is no problem with this. However, I think it is extremely wrong, and sort of "morally constitutionally" wrong. I mean, of course there is no law that says this statue must be here, but these people know they're at least establishing their religion, and it's just not the place for it. Thou shall keep holy the Sabbath? Honor thy Mother and Father? That has no business in a court room.

So all of this leads me to wonder how I got through school without prayer or God being pushed down my throat. I mean, constitutionally a teacher can talk about God, just as long as they're not mandated to do so. There must be some case out there I'm missing. Or maybe they just know their boundaries. Regardless, I really believe that the Conservatives will keep on keeping on in the fight for children to be exposed to religion, wether their parents want it or not. Wether it's "under God" in the pledge or Creationism being taught along side Evolution, they will keep fighting until they die. I just can't wait for the complete Evolution from religion as a whole. Compare 1905 to 2005. We've come along way with religion, and I thank the Liberals for fighting the good fight when it comes to that area. With every generation, fewer and fewer people hold on to the concept of a supreme deity. And I like it.

So in closing, Rehn wasn't too bad of a guy. He sure was a fucking idiot in the late 80's there, but he obviously became more and more judicial and less and less partisan. Overall, I would say he was a man to be proud of, and certainly a man to be respected. Lawyers make a lot more money trying cases than they do serving on the bench, and he did it for 33 years. When dining with colleagues, they would order wine and he would order beer. From everything I've read, he was obviously a good down to earth person. Very modest, and absolutely dedicated to the honor of the bench. I hope he isn't just remembered for his ruling on Bush v Gore. I just hope he goes down in history for his absolute dedication to the Supreme Court. He fucking died still sitting on his bench. He was given a life term over 3 decades ago, and until the day he died, he served.

In the last interview I saw him give only a month or so ago, a reporter asked him if he was retiring as rumors were flying around like crazy. His response? "That's for me to know and you to find out." We found out.

The Truth About Gas Prices

I keep studying, I keep reading, and I really keep thinking deeply about this. I feel that if you look hard enough, you can see enough evidence of the truth bursting through the lies to make an accusation. I've done a lot of research, and a lot of thinking. Let's review some facts.

  • There are 149 oil refineries in the United States.
  • Katrina took out 8 of them.
  • Katrina took out at least 20 oil rigs in the Gulf, effecting 10% of oil production
  • Gas has gone up on average, 80-90 cents in most areas. An extra dollar per gallon is definitely not rare

These are the facts. Now, the most common given reason for these gas prices is supply and demand. Supply in demand is theoretic concept that's used very broadly. The logic behind it is pretty simple. You have a commodity that is limited in quantity. The more people buy of that item, the cost will rise to equalize the amount of that commodity being produced and the amount being sold. That's the whole point, basically.

When it comes to oil and gas, it is extremely difficult to create a supply problem. That's the reality in the matter. In our current situation, there is absolutely no supply problem. Period, the end. The only problem is 8 out of 149 refineries are down, and 10% of oil drilling rigs in the gulf are down. I'll address both "issues."

First off, the oil. 10% is nothing when you're talking about oil production. Millions and millions of gallons of oil are produced every day. They lose 100,000 barrels out of every million a day. This could be an issue, but Bush released oil from the strategic reserves. So actual oil isn't a problem at all.

So therefor, the reason there is an alleged demand for gas is because of refining difficulties. Think about this scenario. You own a business, and you have 149 employees. Let's say 8 of your employees quit in one day. Would you panic? Would you be out of business? Would you have a serious problem? Of course not. 8 out of 149 is nothing. The fact of the matter is, there is no real problem in creating gas from oil.

These are both small issues in relativity to the massive oil and gasoline industry. That is the truth of this matter, and people need to get informed and realize it, and then do something about it. These are small problems, yes, but these problems are nowhere near cause to raise gas prices $0.80 across the nation. Nowhere even close to cause. Maybe if they lost 40 refineries and 60 rigs, I would definitely understand these prices. The oil companies obviously have to stay in business. But in a time of national crisis, they do not need to not only maintain their massive profits, but they also do not need to capitalize on a natural disaster.

And this is where legislation is needed. I'm all for capitalism and free market, but I believe it should be absolutely illegal to capitalize on a natural disaster. It's one thing to capitalize on drug addicts when you invest thousands of dollars into a drug company. It's another thing when you're investing in a company that is robbing the entire nation, lying to them, misleading them, and absolutely taking unfair and far beyond acceptable and understandable advantage of the 3rd main necessity of life. Food, water, and gas. Without gas, you can't drive. Without driving, you're not making money. Unless you're lucky enough to live in a big city, which most Americans do not.

That's the truth of it all. There is no oil problem. There is no refining problem. And there certainly isn't a supply problem. However, there is indeed a demand problem. Gasoline is in very high demand right now, and people are buying a lot. The only reason this is true is because the oil companies created this demand. They are the ones who created a demand problem, not Katrina. They raised their prices $0.50 overnight and they threw America into a frenzy, and every person with half a brain filled up their tank with the "cheap" gas because everyone knew at that point that it was going to keep going higher and higher. It's an effort to save money, not an effort to necessarily hoard gas. Gas is not a precious commodity. Cheap gas, by comparison of course, is a precious commodity. They created the demand, and they should have absolutely no problem supplying it. Outside of the hurricane affected areas, that is.

Now, for the argument winner. Indisputable proof. Now, I know most people don't know a whole lot about the stock market. It's a confusing concept really, and most people don't know a lot about it. The way it works is, a company basically "goes public" and has a stock offering, which basically allows the public to buy tiny portions of the company. The more money this company makes, the more valuable that stock becomes. When you sell that stock at an increased value, you make money. That's the way it works, basically.

With that being said, let's talk about oil stocks. If there really was a supply problem, if there really was a demand problem, how would an oil or gas company's stock chart look like? The market hates uncertainty. If you own a stock, and the industry that the stock belongs to is going through a crisis, you will generally want to sell that stock as soon as possible. You don't want to take a chance of losing thousands and thousands of dollars on a stock that is in the middle of a crisis. You want to sell it all as soon as possible. Some people are willing to take chances for the hope of becoming rich, but most people don't really want to fuck around with their hard earned money. Trading stocks isn't gambling.

So of course, if there really was a crisis, you would see the dozens upon dozens of oil and gas company stock plummeting. Anyone who owned stock before Katrina would be selling it off right away if there really was a crisis. But there isn't one. There is no crisis and there is no supply and demand problem. There is a fictional crisis that is nothing but a reason that the common American will believe so they can raise the prices on the 3rd most essential need to the American life. People need it. They can really sell it for as high as they want without any regulation. We need it, and we'll pay whatever price to buy it. We need it to make our own money.

So with all of this being said, let's take a look at a few oil and gas stocks from today. These are 5 day charts that show the last day of "low" prices and the beginning of absurd prices. The "low" prices were still there on Tuesday, August 30th. The high prices came the very next day, August 31st. Let's take a look at ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Halliburton (the company Dick Cheney was the CEO of before running for vice president), Murphy Oil (Sold at most Super Wal-Marts), Shell (Who drills their own oil and refines their own oil), and BP (Amoco stations are owned by BP as well).

How about that, huh? The stocks are the complete opposite of what logic would dictate. I mean, people aren't worried about buying oil and gas stocks at all. Not in the least. These companies are making the biggest profits in their company history. Every single one of them, this is the highest their stock has ever been. Ever. I wonder why that is? Because many many more people know the truth. They know the truth and they fucking love it. They invest all of their savings into this company, sell it, and they get rich off of every American being raped at the gas pump. These are capitalist pigs with no soul who don't think twice about the moral consequences of profiting from a company who is lying, misleading, and flat out stealing from every American. These capitalist fucks aren't bitching about gas. Why would they? They're getting rich off it and they are no better than the looters of New Orleans. And that's the truth. At least they're poor and stealing. It's much worse to be rich and steal.

Am I the only one who is looking at these charts without dollar signs in my eyes? I mean, I don't understand why this isn't a news story. Actually, I do know why. It's because the elitist capitalists who own oil stocks in this country don't give a shit about me or you. They only care about their investments being doubled or tripled, and getting rich off of our suffering. That's all they care about. I guarantee that there are thousands and thousands of people who are absolutely ecstatic about these gas prices. Why wouldn't they be? They're getting rich. This is how you get rich quick. Sell your soul, and profit. Well I don't fucking do that.

So when you're at the gas station, being robbed of your money by greedy capitalist pigs, just know that they're just as bad as the lying stealing motherfuckers running these companies. It's a big scam, and all of these companies are in on it. There is no crisis, there is no shortage, there is no supply and demand issues. There is only a fake demand issue created by the oil companies to increase shareholder value. And no ones talking about it, because no one knows except for those keeping the secret because their riches and investments depend on it. Well, my income depends on gas prices and I'm fucking irate.

This is wrong, all wrong. The proof is in the stock charts. If you don't believe me, just look at the charts. They don't lie. It's all bullshit, and it seems I am the only one on the planet who is digging into this and using my brain to expose the bullshit. When gas was still at $2.57, I was asking where the rioting was. It's now well over $3.00 in every area. This happened in two days' time, and there's still no rioting. I'm disappointed in my pacified nation. They'll cross the line eventually. In the mean time, only one thing can stop the gouging and the overall overcharging of a necessary item, and that's legislation. So Congress, President Bush, where do you stand on the matter?

No comment, of course. Bush was asked by Diane Sawyer what he thought of oil companies giving up 20% of their profits for the cause of benefiting the entire nation. What was his response? He didn't fucking give one, of course. He shamelessly and completely dodged the question. He didn't even acknowledge the subject, and started talking about the generosity of corporations as a whole. He completely dodged it. What else would you expect from a President who is this connected to the oil and gas industry? He owned a fucking oil drilling company for Christ's sake. Halliburton is the richest of all of those companies whose stock charts I displayed, and Dick Cheney was the fucking CEO of that company until 2000. I'm not making any accusations, but the fact of the matter is they are connected to the oil and gas industry and this fact is a conflict of interest. How can we expect our elected president to do the only thing possible to stop these absolutely thieving soulless oil and gas corporations from stealing our money when he is directly connected to that very same industry? I'd suspect he needs a job after 2008.

So in the end, we suffer. You've seen all of the proof. No oil shortage, no real refinery problems, no supply problems, a demand problem created by the industry itself, and a president who has the only power in this nation to do something about it will not ever do a thing about it. You've seen the charts and you've seen the truth. We're beyond fucked. All we can do is sit here and get raped at the pump. Drivers and Truckers' lives will be completely torn apart by these prices, and everyone else will have to cut back on a few things and pay more for everything you buy from somewhere that is effected by these gas prices. Everyone loses, some of us a lot more than others (like myself), and the oil and gas companies as well as the investors who own their stock will become extremely rich. America: Home of the greedy soulless corporations, Land of the fucked consumer. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer. I'm ashamed that this is the sad reality of our great nation. 2008 can't come quickly enough as far as I'm concerned. Bush has completely lost my support on everything, and for the first time in my life, I'm in the left-wing agreement. Bush is an asshole and he should be impeached. When my financial life is being ruined because of his inaction, that's when I stop supporting him. When I'm reduced to a poverty level income overnight, that's when I stop supporting his goofy monkey ass. Any driver or trucker will feel the same way, assuming they're informed.

And with all of this said, I leave you with one last image. A 35 year stock chart, dating back all the way to 1970 that shows the ExxonMobil's stock prices over the past 35 years. You be the judge. It speaks for itself. A gas crisis, a supply crisis, a demand crisis, and a distribution process does not create 35 year record highs for stock prices. Only gouging a national crisis can do that. Only duping the entire public into accepting this utter bullshit and actually not having your businesses burned down can create this delightful effect. Say hello to your money, everybody. It's right there on the chart.

  • I Could Do This Better

I am absolutely disgusted with the rescue and recovery "efforts" in New Orleans. Nothing is getting done, this is complete chaos. At this point, we have the Astrodome refusing refugees. We still have shit loads of people at the Superdome, and shit loads of people waiting outside of the Superdome. Not to mention the people still trapped in the city who can't be rescued because the the relief effort is focusing on the looters. What the fuck is going on? This is New Orleans, in the United States. Why is there a cluster fuck here?

I'm just really appalled by the lack of coordination. There's no leader, and that's the problem. We have the Homeland Security douche going on every channel, talking about what he's going to do. No one's doing anything quick enough. We have that incompetent religious nut of a Governor in Louisiana talking about National Guard troops coming in and shooting looters. That's lovely, but looting is not the main problem. The main problem is getting these fucking people out of the city and doing whatever you can to ease their suffering. That should be the main prerogative here. And it's not happening.

They're not letting reporters into the Superdome. Do you know why? It's because it's fucking deplorable in there. There is fucking shit and piss everywhere. There's thousands and thousands of people in there and they have nowhere to shit. It's just one big room at this point. There's no power, no restroom facilities, and no showering capabilities. They're living in less than human conditions, and they're not the main focus. Why does it take 3-4 days to get these people out of there? It shouldn't. Everyone has their head up their fucking asses as these people are suffering.

I will certainly admit that I enjoy watching hurricanes smash the shit out of towns, and I am entertained by the site of boats being driven around where the sky would normally be. It's entertaining. I may be an insensitive asshole, but I am certainly not a sadist. I do not enjoy watching people suffer, even if they did bring it upon themselves. This lack of coordination is killing hundreds of more people than necessary.

There is a hospital that needs to be evacuated because drug addicts are ceasing it. Dozens of patients are on the roof awaiting a chopper to move them. A chopper can't land because these fucking drug addict pieces of shit keep shooting at these helicopters. 200 patients are waiting to be evacuated and these choppers can't get them because of fucking sniper fire. So why aren't these motherfuckers dead yet? Lack of coordination. Of course, 9 patients have already died sitting on that roof. But that's OK. I suppose the idea of American soldiers killing American criminals is a bit too extreme in this liberal nation of ours. I suppose the idea of letting patients die on a hospital roof is a better scenario than killing those fucking drug addict criminals.

I'd love to find out who is responsible for this decision. I haven't read one report of a looter being killed. Someone is giving an order not to kill looters. I saw a shotgun wielding New Orleans police officer point his weapon at two looters, and then walk away after they dropped their clothing. They should have been fucking shot. Someone is responsible for this choice, and someone is saying "Do not shoot looters." If that was not true, then at least one report would have come out by now. I do nothing but read news when I'm not writing for this website. I read hundreds of news reports every day. I am an addict, so if something was out there, I would have read it.

It's just an absolute disgrace. What if this were a terrorist attack? Is this an example of how the government would react? I am just very disappointed in our President, and the entire government in Louisiana. This is America, and these are elected officials. They should all be doing much better than this. New Orleans Mayor Ray Nebin demanded martial law, and when asked if he had it, he basically replied with "I don't know." This is ridiculous, and that very same mayor is ten times more pissed than I am. He's pissed at everyone, and completely killing his political career in the mean time. He doesn't give a shit, because this is far above politics. He gets that, and I wish everyone else involved would get it as well.

Bush is about to give a press conference, and I'll be commenting on it as I write this. I have extremely high hopes from him. He needs to be doing a lot more than he is, and I'm beyond disappointed in George Bush. I could write mile long list of what he needs to be doing instead of what he has been. He's flopping around like a fish out of water. I just can't believe how unpresidential he appears every single time I see his face on TV or hear him talking. I can't believe how little he's doing. He's about to goto Louisiana. That's lovely, but I do believe he should have been there a while ago. I would have been there the day of. Sure that fly-over by Air Force One was nice, but that cheesy photo op that he handed out took away all sincerity that could possibly been involved in that action. I don't fall for the photo ops, these eyes are constantly open. I normally support Bush, but I am just in awe of how un-presidential he is acting. He's the fucking leader of our nation, and he's doing nothing of significant value with his power or his time. Time for his press conference.

He walks in with Homeland Security Douche. He said nothing. I have no idea why he was standing there. He said he met with Rumsfeld, Meyers, and other members of his cabinet. Why this was necessary, I do not know. I hope he was yelling at all of those stupid fucks, because anyone who has any sort of power involved with this situation should be fucking ashamed. From the President to the Governor of Louisiana. He stuttered often, saying "uh" at least 9 times. This is what I'm talking about. He has no charisma and gives off no sense of "I'm in charge." He's like a scared child. But it gets interesting. He thanks everyone for their efforts, but then says in these plain words: "The results are not acceptable." Nice! So far, we have one good act from our President. One thing I'm proud of. And I'm really trying here. He plainly said, with no emotion what so ever, in a very monotone way, "The results are not acceptable." He even sped through it nervously, I would go as far as saying. Regardless, I am very pleased to see him say this. But talk is fucking cheap, and he needs to start doing. I want to see him screaming at people to do their fucking job. I want him to tell us he's screaming at people to do their fucking job.

But hey, at least I have that one simple statement to cling to. Let's hope that it creates action quickly. I really wish I knew the power architecture so I knew who to bitch about. I want to declare enemies here, and I have no idea who to blame. I really wish he would have uttered something about these fucking gas prices. I wish he would elaborate on why every oil companies stock is shooting off the charts, bringing their previous 3-4 day numbers to the very bottom of the chart. I'd love to hear him talk about supply and demand. I can't expect that from such an oil connected president though. He needs a job after 2008, right?

I'm just fed up with all of this. Bush's lack of action, the relief effort being coordinated by incompetents, gas prices crippling the economy, not to mention costing me 25% of my weekly income. And I have to point the finger at Bush. If he was doing his best, I'd be very supportive and understanding. But in my estimation, his efforts are unacceptable.

    Losing My Sanity

I'm losing my sanity. I really am. The economy is crashing. I don't give a shit if the so-called experts are saying so or not. I know when the place I work and the place my girlfriend works are reduced to extremely dead business days when the gas prices rise to fucking insane levels, we're in trouble. People don't want to spend money when they're being raped at the pump. I spent $70 in gas yesterday. I filled up both of my cars with the cheapest gas I could find because If I actually do have to pay $3 for gas, I will probably lose it and set the gas station on fire.

I'm not kidding. I'm still pissed that the gas prices aren't $1.80. Oh no, I haven't forgotten that nice comfortable level. I'm still expecting gas to be that price. So when I see 2.50 for gas, I'm pissed. When I see the price start at 2.50, and then be at 2.95 at the end of the night, I can't do anything else but play out the image of the gas station going up in flames over and over as that pump continues to rape me. Then I get in my car and drive off, and pop a Xanax. Just in case I start really considering it. Wouldn't want to do something like that in a rage.

The thing is, I'm not just some pissed off commuter. Don't get me wrong, the people who drive to and from work every day certainly have a right to be pissed off. But others have more of a right to be pissed off. Like me. Because of hurricane Katrina, after fuel costs for the day, I made 4 dollars. Yes, 4. I averaged 6.35 an hour yesterday. That is poverty. I usually average around $11 an hour. It's usually higher. Gas prices are directly responsible for this. It's fucking horrible. I'm dying here. For a 19 year old, I went from earning a very good income to being reduced to poverty. Every other driver and every other trucker out there is going through the same thing. And in the end, I'll get better mileage compensation and so will the truckers, and it'll all be passed on to you, the buyer.

You'll pay more for your pizza. You'll pay more for all of your groceries. Don't even think about flying. These airlines are already going out of business. We're being raped here. There is no reason for this bullshit. I've done a lot of research and I've read for hours. I know what's going on, and someone who's informed needs to tell the truth. I'm willing to take on anyone who's willing to challenge this.

We are getting fucking gouged. There is no reason for gas to go up on average, 50 cents over night. In many places, and it certainly isn't rare, prices are well into the $3 range. In George, gas is above $5 dollars a gallon. What's going on here? Why are the prices so high, the average Joe might ask.

Well, the guys who own oil stocks, and those with great interest in the stock market will tell you it's all about supply and demand. It's all about buying oil from OPEC and then refining it. When Ivan struck last year, this didn't happen. The gulf oil rigs were fucked then, and we weren't hit like this at the pump. There's just no reason for this. The oil companies are taking advantage of a natural disaster. I understand that a natural disaster can effect prices, yes. But not like this. And that is my key point. There is no reason for this to be happening. They think people will buy this excuse, which most do, and they're running with it because their first priority is to increase shareholder value.

It's so bizarre, and I still don't understand this. Out of all the gas stations in my county, every one of them had extremely different prices. All ranging from 2.62 to 2.95. None of them were the same, and the gas station that is always the cheapest is now the most expensive. It's just bizarre. When gas prices do stuff like this, I start to go crazy. Because that makes my income and my future unpredictable, and I feel a great loss of control over my own life thanks to our Oil Overlords. It sure sucks to be me.

I didn't see any looter shootings on TV. It made me extremely depressed. I got really excited though, because they keep showing that clip of the NO cop with the shotgun pointing at the looters who then drop their shit and walk away like little children caught with their hand in the cookie jar. I got really excited the first time I saw it. Oh well. I'll end this idiotic tirade now and return shortly with more substance. I'm really losing it with these gas prices. I don't know what I'm going to do.
