Fuck The Miners

The big fucking headline yesterday was this horse shit. Two miners died in a mine and it's headline news? What the fuck is going on with this New Media? I'm fucking sick if it. This isn't national news. This is fucking entertainment and I'm tired of this glamorous emotion illiciting bile. The news isn't supposed to be entertaining. It's supposed to be informing.

I'm absolutely fucking sick of having to read the same news story on 5 different websites before I can get a clear idea of what's going on. I'm tired of having to goto those 5 different sites just to get the news. Miners dying means absolutely fucking nothing to me. Even if it happened in my town, and it was in my local newspaper, I wouldn't read the story because I just don't give a shit. It's of no interest to me whatsoever.

These fucking people work underground in mines while others blow shit up in that very mine they're working in, which is again. UNDER-FUCKING-GROUND. It is not shocking, surprising, or interesting to know that people fucking die while partaking in this sort of activity. How about headline news anytime a cop is murdered by a crack addict? How about fishermen dying at sea? How about the fucking American heroes fighting in the middle east. Why in the fuck aren't their deaths headline news? They get fucking blurbs, and their names are rarely mentioned. It makes me fucking sick.

How about all the fucking people who die in my profession? Pizza fucking delivery. CNN reports in this article that Drivers/Sales workers is the 5th most dangerous job in the United States. Another CNN article, which is much more telling shows just how dangerous my profession is.

Take a good look at that. At first glance, you might see that my profession is number 9 on the list. But if you take a closer look, you'll notice that the graph shows deaths per 100,000 workers. Sure. just a measly 27.6 out of every 100,000 drivers are killed on the job. But you also need to realize that out of all of the professions listed, drivers greatly outnumber the rest. The proof of this lies in that total deaths column on the right. Look at drivers. 905 That's three times more than the runner up to most total deaths, which are farmers and ranchers. Nine hundred and fucking five.

The kicker is that this is just from 2004. 905 dead fucking drivers in 2004. What's the count so far this year for miners, the miserable cunts who are making headline news? My count is 14 in the last 12 months. Do you really think I pity these motherfuckers? Absolutely not. Their job is inherently dangerous based upon the actual line of work. My job shouldn't be dangerous. It's only dangerous because stupid motherfuckers think we're walking ATM machines. It's an easy robbery, and jail sucks, so killing the guy you're robbing seams like a logical choice.

And just so clarify, just in case you didn't look at that graph closely enough, I have two points. The Drivers/Sales workers do not include Taxi Drivers. They get their own category. I'm saddled up with truckers, and truckers don't get robbed at even 5% of the rate that delivery drivers do. Secondly, you'll notice that fucking miners are not listed. They have no fucking business being headline news, and I blame this fucking asinine New Media. When fucking lumberjacks and fishermen are your headline news, then you can start reporting on these fucking miners.

And for the record, I do not believe my specific job in dangerous in my area. I'm am amazing driver and I've avoided dozens upon dozens of accidents simply because I'm constantly alert and I'm literally always expecting every person on the road to do the most stupidest thing possible. I don't have to worry about an accident, and I actually hope that someone attempts to rob me so I can let out this rage I have built up in me. It's been a long time since I've just beaten the shit out of someone, and I would love nothing more than for someone to give me the legal right to just smash their fucking face in until it's recognizable. You might have noticed, I have a lot of pent up rage. That sort of thing tends to happen you have to live in this fucking atrocity of a world we live in today.

Regardless, I deliver in a safe area and if I felt the actual customers were a risk, I wouldn't do this job. This is just my area though. Overall, this is an incredibly dangerous job. I'm just lucky to be doing it in a good area with a low violent crime rate. With that said, it's fucking a whole lot more dangerous than this stupid miner (pun intended) bullshit. It's sheepish emotion illiciting bile and it is nowhere close to newsworthy.

Like I said, when you're reporting driver deaths, lumberjack deaths, fishermen and rancher deaths, then you can report on these motherfuckers. You should not fucking report something because it's rare. That one characteristic does not make an item newsworthy. The first and foremost selected criteria for reporting a story, and making it a headline story at that, should be information. Is this information useful and informing? Maybe if people knew how dangerous my fucking job was, they would give me more money. Maybe if they knew how many fucking lumberjacks die so you can have your stupid fucking coffee table, you might put a little more appreciation into that fine piece of wood that you put all of your stupid shit on.

Are you really this stupid or are you just acting that way? If this is supposed to be a serious commentary, I would suggest that you look up the word "narcissistic".
